What it is

I built TigerHub to check RIT campus information without opening a pile of separate pages. It brings dining, events, the campus map and service hours into one app. I use it between classes.

How it works

Flutter fetches public RIT data on the device through one HTTP client. Parsers turn each source into a snapshot saved locally. The app shows the last known data right away and refreshes when due. Bundled service information is available on a first launch without network access.

Flow

  1. Public RIT sources
  2. Device HTTP client
  3. Source parsers
  4. Local snapshots
  5. Flutter campus views

The problem

Official RIT events showed up as all day. The feed publishes start times in 12 hour form, but the old parser only accepted 24 hour times. I found it while comparing the device parser with captured output from the old backend. I added parsing for the published format. Events with no time still show as all day.
